This is my entry for the mini contest over at [link] ! I won :,D All the other entries were so amazing though! Thanks so much guys!!
I gave this a go since I could personally relate to it, having been shy before in the past So here's my depiction of the phases of shyness- not necessarily in order. (the colors are random btw! They're not meant to carry deep symbolic meaning of any sort xD) From left to right: Blue: subconsciously tugging on hair I still do this all the time! Pink: finding it somewhat difficult to start/ engage in convo Red: hyperventilating before a show or presentation Purple: knowing the answer to a question but too shy to raise your hand Green: not knowing the answer but being picked on because you're shy and never rose your hand I HATE IT WHEN THIS HAPPENS!! Black/yellow: Overcoming shyness by stepping into the spotlight and realizing that it's not that bad! See, even the butterflies have flown out your stomach!
On another note, this is also inspired by my little sister who is super shy, but is going to be performing in her first play ever (Oliver Twist) this week!! I'm really quite proud of her She's been so timid before and yet this time decided to take the initiative to audition! So.. the last panel in particular is dedicated to her
Awww, this is amazing! I love it so much, and I can so relate to it! I'm really really shy and awkward when talking to people who aren't friends or family, and I'm struggling at the moment. So this is really inspiring. Thank you!
LOVE the last panel!
